Restricted-products and prohibited-use policy
Last updated 7 August 2026
Research chemicals carry real risk. This policy explains the categories of material we will not supply and the uses that are prohibited under all circumstances.
1. Prohibited uses
- Human administration of any kind, including self-experimentation.
- Veterinary or animal administration outside an approved research protocol.
- Compounding, formulating or repackaging into products for human or animal use.
- Resale to consumers, or marketing as a medicine, supplement, cosmetic or performance product.
- Use in food, beverages, vapes, injectables for people, or any consumer article.
- Any use that breaches applicable medicines, chemicals, doping or export-control law.
2. Materials we do not supply
- Controlled or scheduled substances and their immediate precursors.
- Materials subject to chemical-weapons or dual-use export controls.
- Sterile, injectable-grade or GMP-labelled preparations intended for administration.
- Any product a customer asks us to label, certify or document as fit for human use.
3. Handling requirements
Treat every product as being of unknown toxicity. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, work in a suitably ventilated and controlled area, follow the safety data supplied with the product, and dispose of residues and containers through a licensed chemical-waste route.
4. Enforcement
We monitor orders for signs of prohibited use. Where we identify a breach, or a credible risk of one, we will cancel orders, close the account, refuse future supply and — where the law requires it — report the matter to the relevant authority.
5. Reporting a concern
If you become aware of misuse of a product bearing our labelling, contact us using the details on our legal information page so we can investigate.
